The Last Hour Before Sunset ☀️

The sky begins its soft descent,
With hues of gold and lavender sent
A whispering breeze, so calm and light,
Kisses the day as it fades from sight

The birds take flight on feathered wing🕊️
Their songs, a final note to sing
The world below, in quiet awe,
Bows to the beauty that it saw

The trees, once green, are bathed in fire🔥
A fleeting glow of warm desire
Their shadows stretch across the land,
Like fingers reaching toward the sand

The ocean sparkles, catching flame💥
Reflecting light that has no name
Each ripple holds a piece of day,
As waves roll in, then wash away

The mountains⛰️ stand in silent grace,
Their peaks adorned with amber lace
Beneath their watch, the earth lies still,
In reverence of the evening’s will

A child laughs beneath the sky,
Chasing light as time slips by
Her footsteps echo on the shore,
Yet soon the sun will shine no more

The fields, once vibrant, now turn pale,
As daylight fades into a veil
The flowers close their weary eyes 👀
And sigh beneath the darkening skies

The moon prepares to rise above,
To bathe the night in softer love
It waits in shadows, calm and slow,
While sunset paints its final glow

The stars begin to peek and gleam,
Like diamonds waking from a dream
They tremble in the twilight air,
A scattered constellation’s prayer

The clouds, once white, are streaked with pink,
A masterpiece that makes one think
How fragile is this fleeting hour,
Where day and night share equal power?

The wind grows cooler, soft and low,
A gentle lull before the show
It whispers secrets through the trees🌲
And dances with the evening breeze

The city lights begin to spark,
As dusk descends and brings the dark
Yet in the fading light, they shine,
Like earthly stars, a man-made sign

A silence falls across the land,
As shadows stretch like velvet hands
The busy world begins to rest,
As nature takes her final breath

The horizon burns a brilliant red,
A final flame before it’s shed
And in the glow, the earth stands still,
As if obeying sunset’s will

The last birds call, their voices clear,
A sweet farewell for all to hear
They soar into the darkening blue,
And bid the day a fond adieu

A lover’s hand in mine is warm,
As we watch the setting sun transform
Together, silent in this hour,
We stand beneath the twilight’s power

The city hums with distant sound,
Yet peace within us both is found
The fading light reflects our gaze,
As we embrace the coming haze

The colors fade, now soft and dim,
As night takes over from the rim
The sky, once bright, is now a veil,
And with it ends the sun’s last tale

In this last hour before the night,
We cherish every touch of light
For moments pass, but memories stay,
Of sunsets that once led the way

The day is done, the sun ☀️ now gone,
Yet in our hearts, its light lives on

Let the sky whisper its secrets as day bows to night
